Back in March, MTV announced that *Jersey Shore: Family Vacation* would be concluding with the upcoming ninth and final season, but Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her GTL family aren't ready to call it quits.
"We always said we'll continue filming until we're in a nursing home," Snooki said on *Good Morning America*. "We love filming, we love being together, we love making a show."
On the same day that MTV dropped the news about* Family Vacation*, Snooki and her castmates posted a video declaring that the party will go on. "Legends don’t retire — they reroute," the caption read. "The network changed. The legacy didn’t. *Jersey Shore* is forever. Just wait until you see what’s next."
"It's not over for us," Snooki told *GMA*. "We don't know where we're going yet, but we had a great relationship with MTV. It's bittersweet, but I feel like we still got more."
The world was first introduced to Snooki, The Situation, DJ Pauly D, JWoww, and others in 2009 when MTV premiered the reality series *Jersey Shore*, which followed a group of young Italian-Americans as they engaged in debauchery in Seaside Heights, N.J. Their unique personalities and catchphrases quickly turned the show into a pop culture phenomenon, and *Jersey Shore* ran for six seasons, traveling to Miami and Italy.

After *Jersey Shore* concluded in 2012, several of the stars led their own spinoffs, including MTV's *Snooki & JWoww*. But, sans Sammi Giancola (who eventually returned), the original cast reunited in 2018 in Miami for the launch of *Jersey Shore: Family Vacation*. Over eight seasons, they showed that kids and real life can't get in the way of the crew's drama, partying, and love.
"I consider them my brothers and sisters," Snooki said. "We talk every single day, and they're my best friends."
If you need to brush up on your *Jersey Shore* vocabulary ahead of the final season of *Family Vacation*, which premieres May 7, EW has you covered.
