- Jenna Bush Hager said on Friday's episode of *Today* that her eldest daughter was embarrassed by her cheering at her volleyball games.

- Hal, Hager's 6-year-old son, has also told her on the flag football field that she's too loud.

- The TV star and mom of three is hopeful that she'll be back watching volleyball games next season.

Jenna Bush Hager may be a TV star, but to her kids she's just an embarrassing mom.

In fact, the anchor said on Friday's episode of *Today** With Jenna and Sheinelle* that her eldest daughter, 13-year-old Mila, has banned her from her volleyball games. Turns out Hager was cheering a little too aggressively.

She said she'd been "kicked out by my child," then clarified.

"Well, I didn't get kicked out, like, removed immediately," Hager said. "I got put into a free zone."

Hager, who said she enjoys cheering and heckling at sports events, did something particularly mortifying to Mila. "The score was 6 to 7, and I go, 'Six seven!' And Mila looked at me like this," Hager confessed, as she put on a look of disapproval. "Afterwards, I was frozen out. I went to one volleyball game this year."

Hager said she's looking forward to the ban expiring. "I think I'm gonna be unfrozen for next year," she explained. "I’m just not gonna try to be the center of attention."

But it's not just Mila, the eldest of three children that Hager and husband Henry Hager share, followed by 10-year-old daughter Poppy and son Hal, who's 6. She's faced backlash from her youngest too.

"Now on the flag football field, Hal's all like, 'Don't cheer. You're too loud, Mom,'" the TV star noted.

Hager reminded viewers that she'd been enthusiastically watching sports games since she was a kid herself.

"My dad worked in baseball, so went to like 70 games a year," she noted. "I would cheer. I loved to cheer. I learned how to take score. I knew how to do everything, so I'm kind of a sports kid."

Before he became president in 2001, Hager's father, George W. Bush, was part of a group of investors who bought Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers team. He was an owner from 1989 to 1998.

Despite her time out with her daughter when it comes to sports, Hager still celebrated Mila's birthday big time. She posted multiple photos on Instagram Stories, per PEOPLE, including one of her daughter as a newborn.
